    i am happy to be able to make a small contribution to the fascinating work of the CHARLES DARWIN RESEARCH STATION on the galapagos with my illustrations. when visiting the station this year in march i was duely impressed by the breeding and succesful conservation of the giant land tortoises.
    the first drawing will decorate the park-guides' news board in the visitors' center, and more are to come.

    every day from may 31st to june 4th, at 19:30 o'clock, episodes of "ohne geld bis ans ende der welt" ("with no money to the end of the word") by MICHAEL WIGGE will run on ZDF neo (or you can watch them all in sequence on june 5th at 14:45 o'clock).
    michael travelled with no money from berlin to antartica and filmed himself doing so. whenever the camera was not at hand or filming was prohibited, my animations fill the gaps.

    the entire series will also appear on dvd soon, on sale for example at AMAZON.

    ANA LUIZA KOEHLER has pointed out a scary fact to me: there are TWO of me!! ("us"?)
    my clone is called EDUARDO MEDEIROS, lives in porto alegre in brazil and draws very beautiful illustrations and comix.
    of course i immediately got in contact with him, and we agree on this: THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE!!!
    this calls for an artists' duel!!

    shortly before our return from quito back to germany we managed to meet with ein treffen mit GONZALO RIZZO. amazing, how much you can learn from a good teacher in a 30 minutes flash-crash-course! gonzalo produces a lot of beautiful animations, some even for ecuadorian TV - and to make matters better, he is also a rather nice guy!

    this weekend i gave a workshop about the medium comic to 15 very interested and rather talented ecuadorian participants, among them unter anderem WILO, GONZALO RIZZO, CARLOS GRANJA ROBALINO, DARIO GUERRERO and the other creatives of ¡ELÉ!-magazine, and many others with exciting ideas and much creative potential.
    i would be happy to some day in the future work together with these great artists!

    it is done: 20 posters about alexander von humboldt's journey through south america for an exhibition in quito, ecuador, comissioned by the german embassy of quito. i will fly to ecuador for the opening night of the exhibition, will give some workshops there and then do a documentation of an ORO VERDE project in SARAYACU. and after that, i want to go to galapagos, snorcheling with iguanas!

    the front page of the ahrensburger zeitung shows an article about rüdiger nehbergs project against female genital mutulation and his human rights organization TARGET. for the GOLDEN BOOK, which nehberg wants to hand out to every mosque in the world, i have done four illustrations, one of which can be seen in the ARTICLE.

    bei seinem herrlich lustigen aber auch ergreifenden und tränenrührenden vortrag in köln hatte ich endlich gelegenheit, rüdiger nehberg einmal in person zu treffen


    für sein GOLDENES BUCH, welches er im rahmen seines feldzuges gegen die weibliche genitalverstümmelung in jede moschee der welt verteilen will, habe ich vier illustrationen gemacht, die auch analphabeten die nachricht "genitalverstümmelung ist gegen den koran" vermitteln sollen.

    oft fehlt mir ein täglicher ansporn, zu zeichnen, und so habe ich beschlossen, etwas, das mich jeden tag nervt, in etwas zu wandeln, das mich jeden tag beschäftigt (und amüsiert). so entstand die idee, spam in cartoons umzuwandeln. das ergebnis gibt es auf ASPAMADAY.

    war am wochenende auf der frankfurter buchmesse, um SCOTT MCCLOUD mal live zu sehen. beeindruckend, wie viele inspirierende ideen in einen kopf reinpassen.


    ausserdem hatte ich das glück, so tolle menschen (und comiczeichner!) wie MAWIL, FIL und NAOMI FEARN kennenzulernen. sehr nette leute, auch.
    didi und stulle (von fil) kann ich jedem empfehlen, der mal wieder tränen lachen will.
    jetzt bin ich total motiviert, mehr comics zu zeichnen, und hab keine zeit. murphy's law... :(

    ich habe einen experimentellen comic geschrieben und gezeichnet und freue mich über euer ehrliches feedback. das konzept heisst "PANOCOMIC", und das sichtfeld dreht sich beim lesen immer 360 grad im kreis. es gibt also keine schnitte im konventionellen sinne.
